How it works

Invent the people, work out what happens to them, and keep it all straight across everything you write.

  1. A young writer at a desk, her imagination streaming out into a castle, a rocket and a dragon.

    Imagine

Make up characters, places and the things that matter to them. They are yours, and they stay yours across everything you write.

  2. Scenes and characters laid out as connected platforms, being arranged into an order.

    Build the story

Work out what happens, in parts. Wildspire keeps track of who is in it and what is already true, so book two cannot contradict book one.

  3. A writing desk beside a film set and a rack of finished comics.

    Tell it

Publish it as a novel, a short story or a comic — and when you want to, turn a scene into a cartoon.

Then tell it however you like: as a novel, a short story, a comic, or a cartoon.
